Job summary

Lincare Holdings Inc. is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver in Bryan, TX to ensure safe, timely delivery of home medical equipment and to educate patients on proper equipment use. The role involves following routes, maintaining vehicles, and providing excellent patient service.

You will participate in on-call rotations, adhere to safety protocols, and support patients with care and training, contributing to our nationwide patient-first service. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Work experience: minimum 1 year in a professional driving role; health care background is a plus.
• Must have valid Driver's License and good driving record.
• Non-CDL drivers 18+; CDL drivers 21+. DOT and FDA paperwork proficiency expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and train patients on home medical equipment and supplies.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules consistently.
• Maintain a safe driving record and comply with DOT/FMC regulations.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle and equipment.
• Provide excellent patient relations and teamwork with staff.
• Participate in on-call rotations in evenings and weekends as required.

We are currently seeking a Delivery Driver to join our growing team, ensuring safe and timely delivery of home medical equipment to our patients, also providing equipment setup and educating patients on the proper use of equipment.

JOB FUNCTIONS

• Follow complete patient orientation checklists during delivery and training
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Inspect and maintain company-provided delivery vehicle, ensuring safety during the loading and unloading process
• Establish and maintain outstanding relations with patients and internal team members
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicle and warehouse, adhering to all FDA protocols
• Work on-call rotation during evening and weekend hours to address any patient medical emergencies in accordance with company and local policies

Qualifications.

Education

• High SchoolDiplomaor General Education Degree (GED), Required

Work Experience

• Minimum, one year of experience in professional driving role or equivalent position, Required
• Home care/health care background is a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Non CDL drivers can be 18 or older
• CDL drivers are required to be 21 or older
• Must be good with people, with excellent speaking and writing
• Must maintain a valid D/L for appropriate class of vehicle driven while employed
• Convey a positive and professional image to customers and employees
• Read and understand DOT and FDA required paperwork
• Critically think, make decisions, and be mentally alert
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must lift 50+ pounds by oneself
• Must lift excess of 50lbs with mechanical or employee assistance
• Maneuver often in restricted spaces
• Perform the following physical actions:
  • straight pulling
  • pulling hand over hand
  • reachingabove the shoulder
  • use of fingers/fine manipulation
  • repeated bending
• Utilize hands, legs, and eyes for operating vehicle
• Lift up to 15lbs above the shoulder while loading and unloading
