Job summary

84 Lumber, a family-owned building materials supplier, seeks a full-time Truck Driver at our Denton, TX location. The role involves delivering materials to customer sites, operating a forklift, and maintaining a safe, organized yard and warehouse.

A valid CDL may be required depending on the assignment, with OT available beyond standard hours. You must be 21+, have a valid driving record, and FMCSA qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and understand highway signs.
• Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
• Provide a true copy of your MVR and list of violations annually as required by FMCSA.
• Be physically qualified to drive a CMV under FMCSA.
• Not be disqualified to drive a CMV under FMCSA.
• Complete or have completed a driver's road test with a current certificate, or its equivalent.
• Depending on truck/hauler, may be required to have a CMV license.
• May be required to have a valid Medical Exam card/certificate.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Deliver material to customer job sites.
• Operate forklift as part of yard and warehouse duties.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lumber yard and warehouse.
• Communicate delays or discrepancies to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate time management and forklift operation skills.
• Keep management informed of any delays or discrepancies.
