Job summary

84 Lumber Company is seeking a full-time Truck Driver in the United States to deliver materials to customer job sites and manage yard operations. You will operate forklifts, load multiple orders, and ensure a clean, organized yard while maintaining safety and communication with management.

Applicants must be at least 21, fluent in English, and physically qualified to drive. A valid MVR and potential CMV licensing may be required depending on the truck and hauler.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
• Provide (on an annual basis) a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with the FMCSA requirements.
• Not be disqualified to drive a CMV under FMCSA.
• Complete a driver's road test and have a current certificate approved by FMCSA.
• Depending on the truck/hauler, you may be required to have a CMV license.
• Depending on the truck/hauler, you may be required to have a Medical Exam certificate or card.

Responsibilities

• Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies.
• Forklift training, certification, and operation.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse.
• Communicating delays or discrepancies with management.
• Other duties as assigned.
