Job summary

FedEx Group in California is seeking a Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT-1 to operate company vehicles, deliver and pick up packages with courteous, efficient service, and check shipments for conformance to FedEx standards across the station's service area.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED; six months courier experience preferred. Must be at least 21, able to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier loads with equipment or assistance, and possess solid English communication and safety awareness.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to maneuver packages over 50 lbs with equipment or assistance.
Excellent verbal communication and human relations skills.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic signs and official inquiries.

Responsibilities

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous, efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features.
Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
Provides related customer service functions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
