Delivery Driver Job Description

This position is responsible for delivering products to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using box and flat-bed trucks. Drivers ensure deliveries are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer. Drivers are accountable for customer satisfaction and for transporting items in a safe, timely manner. The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #3218, located at: 19455 Evans St NW, Elk River, MN 55330. This is a full-time position.

Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors; and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. Access may be supervised or unsupervised. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship
• Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License
• Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) from a DOT-licensed examiner or willingness to obtain one within five business days of receiving a conditional offer
• Ability to retrieve materials from shelves and lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on the most recent performance appraisal
• Completion of all required HR Cloud eLearning courses for current position

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least one year experience as a delivery driver
• Experience using material handling equipment
• Previous experience selling paint and related products
• Ability to communicate in more than one language, including Spanish
