Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a delivery associate in Texas to safely operate company delivery vehicles and complete scheduled customer deliveries within designated service areas.

You will load, secure, and unload merchandise, use handheld devices for routing and signatures, and perform pre- and post-trip inspections. You will collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and communicate proactively about delays or route changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with GVW 14,500–26,000 lbs.
• Must meet DOT requirements and maintain medical certification.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, with team lift for heavier items.
• Strong safety, customer service, and operational focus.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Valid Driver License in state.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a delivery vehicle to complete scheduled customer deliveries within service areas.

• Provide excellent customer service and resolve routine delivery questions; escalate as needed.
• Use handheld devices to manage routes, obtain signatures, and document delivery completion.

• Verify order accuracy and deliver items in good condition.
• Comply with company policies, vehicle safety standards, and transportation regulations.
• Support warehouse operations including pulling, stocking, staging, and inventory tasks.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service to ensure a seamless experience.
• Communicate proactively about delays, route changes, or customer concerns.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED General studies or technical school graduate or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) between 14,500 and 26,000 pounds.
• Ability to meet all applicable DOT requirements and maintain required medical certification.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise weighing up to 40 pounds, with team - lift support available for heavier items.
• Strong commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime when business needs require.
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous route delivery, final- mile delivery, or customer facing delivery experience.
• Experience operating forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Retail logistics, or warehouse experience.
• Experience using handheld mobile technology and delivery management systems.
