Job summary

Lacks Valley Stores Ltd is seeking a reliable Furniture Delivery Driver to deliver items to customers' homes or offices in the Pharr area. You will load, transport, assemble, and ensure safe delivery of furniture while providing excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid TX driver’s license, 1-2 years of delivery experience, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings. Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid TX driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 1-2 years of experience as a delivery driver.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furniture items onto and off of the delivery truck, using equipment like dollies and hand trucks.
• Safely operate the delivery truck, navigating through traffic and following traffic rules and regulations.
• Communicate with customers to confirm delivery times and locations, handle complaints, and answer questions about the delivery process.
• Assemble furniture items upon delivery, using tools and following instructions for correct assembly.
• Maintain safety and maintenance of the delivery truck, perform routine checks, and report issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure timely delivery of furniture items to customers' homes or offices.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding delivery and customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Delivery Driver I

Reports to: Delivery Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering furniture items to customers' homes or offices while ensuring they arrive in good condition. This may involve carrying furniture upstairs, through narrow doorways, and into tight spaces. The Furniture Delivery Driver will also provide excellent customer service and ensure the safety and maintenance of the delivery truck.

Essential Job Functions:

• Load and unload furniture items onto and off of the delivery truck, using equipment like dollies and hand trucks.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture items up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to load and unload furniture from the truck.
• Ability to work in challenging weather conditions, including extreme temperatures.

Work Hours:

• May work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
