Job summary

Sid Harvey’s is hiring a full-time Driver for the Hobart, IN location. The role focuses on prompt, courteous customer service, safe loading and unloading, and accurate handling of materials for deliveries and stock pickups.

The driver will follow safety policies, maintain the driving record, and support branch operations including inventory activities and upkeep of the work areas. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 with 3 years of safe driving experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license issued by the state you reside in.
• Must be able to provide or have Sid Harvey’s obtain an acceptable driving history record.
• Must adhere to Sid Harvey Industries, Inc. Driving Safety Policy.
• Must be able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Must be able to pass a Drug Test.
• Conduct yourself professionally and ethically; treat customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Accurately and safely load & unload trucks as needed.
• Check in and store material, verify quantities and quality; maintain organized materials.
• Maintain appearance of branch and clean areas.
• Drive company vehicle for deliveries and stock pick-ups and maintain valid licensing.
• Report back orders and material discrepancies.
• Report customer feedback to Branch Manager and note opportunities.
• Perform cycle counts as required.
• Perform duties safely and report hazardous conditions.
• Inspect vehicles and forklifts as required.
• Assist in year-end inventories and other duties as directed.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and efficient processing of their orders.
• Drive company vehicle to make customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, obeying traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Load and unload trucks safely and accurately.
• Check in and store received material, verify quantities and quality.
• Maintain branch appearance and clean work areas as needed.
• Report back orders, material discrepancies, and customer feedback to the Branch Manager.
• Perform cycle counts as required.
• Inspect vehicles and forklifts and comply with safety rules.
• Assist with year-end inventories and other duties as directed.
