Job summary

84 Lumber Company is hiring a full-time Truck Driver to deliver building materials to customer job sites, operate a forklift, and maintain a safe, organized lumber yard and warehouse. A valid state-issued driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old, fluent in English, and meet FMCSA qualification standards for commercial drivers. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with FMCSA requirements.
• Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under FMCSA.
• Complete or have completed a driver’s road test and hold a valid current certificate of road test.
• Possess a commercial motor vehicle license depending on truck/hauler.

Responsibilities

• Deliver material to customer job sites.
• Operate forklift.
• Maintain the lumber yard and warehouse for safety and organization.
• Communicate delays or discrepancies with management.
• Build loads for delivery and unloading freight.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
