Job summary

84 Lumber Company in the United States seeks a full-time Truck Driver to deliver materials to customer job sites and manage yard operations. You’ll load, unload, operate a forklift when needed, and keep the lumber yard safe and organized.

You must be 21+, have a valid CMV license or CDL, a clean MVR, and the ability to communicate clearly in English. A high school diploma or GED is required; join a stable, benefits-rich employer today.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
• Provide (on an annual basis) a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
• Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Complete or have completed a driver's road test and has been issued a valid and current certificate of driver's road test, or its equivalent, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
• Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a commercial motor vehicle license
• Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a valid and current Medical Exam certificate or card.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Responsibilities

• Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies.
• Forklift training, certification, and operation.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse.
• Communicating delays or discrepancies with management.
• Other duties as assigned.
