CORT Furniture Rental in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a full-time Delivery Driver to join the Operations team. You will load furniture, drive a 26-foot box truck, deliver and install at customers' homes or offices, and help with warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid and current drivers license in state of residency.
• 3 months min driving a 24-foot box truck or larger; 1 year preferred.
• Physically able to move furniture indoors/outdoors, up/down stairs, in all weather; lift 100+ lbs with a partner.
• Able to comply with FMCSA regulations and English language requirements for FMCSA
• Maintain DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate (physical and drug screening)
• Pass FMCSA/CORT road test
• Acceptable MVR per CORTs Safe Driving Standards

Responsibilities

• Start your day at the warehouse and review route with the operations team.
• Drive a 26-foot box truck with lift gate to customers homes or offices.
• Unload, deliver, and install furniture while engaging with customers.
• Assist in warehouse tasks including loading/unloading when needed.

Overview

CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for full‑time non‑CDL drivers in Indianapolis, IN.

The Delivery Driver works collaboratively as part of the Operations team. You will be responsible for loading furniture and delivering safely to customers’ homes or office spaces. You will also be assembling furniture for the customer and going above and beyond to ensure a positive customer experience.

Pay

$21 / $22 per hour depending on experience

Schedule

Standard is Monday-Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm; some flexibility or overtime may be required

Responsibilities

• Unload, deliver, and install furniture while interacting with customers
• Assist in the warehouse as needed; this may require loading and unloading furniture

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency
• A minimum of 3 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle; 1 year of experience preferred
• Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
• Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration regulations
  • Per FMSCA Regulations: Drivers must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
• Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, which includes passing a physical and drug screening
• Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
• Acceptable MVR per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards
