Job summary

CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for a full-time non-CDL delivery driver in Warren, MI. You will load furniture, deliver to customers’ homes or offices, and assemble furniture to ensure a positive experience.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with some flexibility or overtime. Pay ranges from $20 to $22 per hour, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid current driver's license in state of residency.
• Minimum 6 months’ experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger; 1 year preferred.
• Physically able to move furniture and lift 100+ pounds with a partner.
• Able to meet FMCSA English language requirements.
• Must maintain DOT Medical Certificate and pass physical/drug screening.
• Able to pass FMCSA/CORT road test.
• Acceptable MVR per CORT's Safe Driving Standards.

Responsibilities

• Start day at warehouse and review route with operations team.
• Drive a 26-foot box truck with lift gate to homes/offices.
• Unload, deliver, and install furniture while engaging customers.
• Assist in warehouse as needed, including loading/unloading furniture.

Overview

CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for full-time non-CDL drivers in Warren, MI!

The Delivery Driver works collaboratively as part of the Operations team. You will be responsible for loading furniture and delivering safely to customers’ homes or office spaces. You will also be assembling furniture for the customer and going above and beyond to ensure a positive customer experience.

Pay: $20 to $22 per hour depending on experience

Schedule: Standard is Monday-Friday 8:am- 5:pm; some flexibility or overtime may be required

Responsibilities

• Assist in the warehouse as needed; this may require loading and unloading furniture

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency
• A minimum of 6 months professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle required; 1 year of experience preferred. Please note: experience with smaller size vehicles such as sprinter vans or smaller trucks will not be considered.
• Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
• Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration regulations
  • Per FMSCA Regulations: Drivers must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
• Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, which includes passing a physical and drug screening
• Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
• Acceptable MVR per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards
