Job summary

Van Meter is seeking a Delivery Driver to provide safe, efficient local deliveries and to represent the company professionally. You will build positive relationships with customers, ensure product accuracy, and support the sales process by passing leads to the sales team.

This role may require back-up coverage for Transfer Truck Driver and occasional third shift. You will perform pre-trip safety inspections and comply with DOT regulations to support operations across branches.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Class A license and DOT qualifications required.
• Six months delivery or courier experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to local customers and obtain proof of delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Load and unload the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
• Adhere to all DOT requirements and company safety policies.
• Maintain vehicle and dock cleanliness and order.
• Communicate with department leads on job-related issues.
• Support process improvement initiatives.
