Job summary

Affirmation Transport is seeking reliable Delivery Drivers to deliver packages in Covington, LA, using a company box truck and providing excellent customer service. You will plan routes, communicate with dispatch, and ensure safe, timely deliveries while handling loads and performing pre/post-trip inspections.

Applicants should be 21+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid license with a clean record, and be willing to pass background/drug screening.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Prior courier/ delivery experience a plus.
• Solid knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 150 lbs and load/unload packages.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company-provided delivery vehicle to deliver packages.
• Ensure on-time and accurate deliveries while maintaining package condition.
• Load and unload packages.
• Plan routes for timely deliveries while following traffic laws and safety policies.
• Verify package accuracy and complete delivery documentation.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
• Coordinate with dispatch to optimize schedules and communicate delays.
• Keep the delivery vehicle clean and report malfunctions.
