Job summary

Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is seeking a Field Representative Assistant to support our thrift store operations and donor program in Florida. The role collaborates with staff to receive, price, and merchandise donated items, assists the Senior Field Representative with pickups, and helps maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Field Representative in picking up and transporting donated items from donors to the thrift store.
• Assist in the upkeep of the thrift store warehouse.
• Be familiar with the process of non-cash gifts including the issuing of non-cash receipts to donors.
• Ensure proper appearance and care of equipment in the non-cash area.
• Ensure safety precautions are taken when transporting items.
• Represent the organization positively to customers and donors; provide exceptional customer service.

Summary

The Sheriffs Ranches Enterprises, Inc. is a nonprofit charitable organization which was formed to provide direct support to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches. Revenue is raised for the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranchesthrough the sale of gifts in kind ("non-cash") received by the organization, which are sold at one of our sixthrift stores, our vehicle sales lot located in Live Oak, or through eBayor sealed bid auctions.

The Field Representativeis the secondary contact person with the donor in accepting and transporting non-cash gifts. The Field Representative Assistant position has the primary task of assisting the Senior Field Representative in accepting non-cash gifts which are donated to the agency.

The Field Representative works closely with staff members at store level to ensure the proper pricing and merchandising of all donated items.The Field Representative Assistant is directly responsible to the Thrift Store Manager.This position is eligible for overtime pay.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The person filling this position is required to have a high school diploma and a valid Florida driver’s license

Responsibilities and Duties

1. 1. Assist the Senior Field Representative in picking up and transporting donated items from donors to the SheriffsRanches Thrift Store to which they are assigned.
2. 2. Assists in the upkeep of the thrift store warehouse.
3. 3. Is familiar with the entire process of non-cash gifts including the process of issuing non-cash receipts to donors.
4. 4. Ensures proper appearance and care of the equipment used in the non-cash area.
5. 5. Assures that all safety precautions are taken when transporting items.
6. 6. Represents the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches and Sheriffs Ranches Enterprises in a positive manner to customers,donors, and the general public. Provides exceptional customer service.

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
