Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Duluth, MN is seeking a part-time Delivery Driver for Store #703223 at 4767 Miller Trunk Hwy. The role involves delivering and loading orders, with a focus on customer service and safety, and requires working evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.

• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) from a DOT-licensed medical examiner or obtain one within five business days of a conditional offer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally.
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Must read and speak English sufficiently for public interactions and reporting.
• Internal Sherwin-Williams employees must have a meets expectations rating (3).
• Internal Sherwin-Williams employees must have completed HR Cloud eLearning for current position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner.
• Load customer orders properly on the truck.
• Ensure appropriate forms are completed.
• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner.
• Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repairs.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle complaints.
• Adhere to assigned routes and time schedules.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Operate equipment and machines such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Perform other tasks in the store including warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing customer orders.

The individual selected for this role will be expected to work at Store #703223, located at: 4767 Miller Trunk Hwy, Duluth, MN 55811.

This is a Part-time position, and the starting pay is $15 an hour.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
• Must have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) from a Department of Transportation (DOT) licensed "medical examiner" listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry or be willing to obtain one within five business days of receiving a conditional offer of employment
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have received at least a "meets expectations" (3) rating on your most recent performance appraisal
• If internal to Sherwin-Williams, you must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for your current position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Have at least a High School diploma or GED
• Have at least one (1) year of experience working as a delivery driver
• Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts, etc.)
• Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
