Job summary

Uwajimaya Food Service International (FSI) in Seattle, WA is seeking a Driver/Distribution Clerk to pick, pack, and deliver merchandise to customer sites on a timely, safe basis. This full-time role operates in a warehouse and cold-storage environment.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading up to 50 lbs, maintaining vehicle safety, and developing strong relationships with customers. Starting pay is $22.89/hour with a range of $22.89–$28.84/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus 2-3 years of experience in area of specialization.
• Valid and clean driver’s license; Class B license is a plus.
• Alcohol-free and drug-free status.
• Certified in operating forklift and pallet jack.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer functionality.
• Knowledge of the city/state highways is preferred.
• Excellent customer service.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive delivery trucks safely and efficiently over established routes or within a territory.
• Load and unload merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds at customers’ establishments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships between the Company and customers.
• Operate company vehicle safely in varying traffic and weather conditions.
• Perform pre-trip, in-route and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Keep truck interior clean and orderly.
• Report accidents, delays, and mechanical issues promptly.
• Have customers sign receipts and collect payments if applicable.
• Submit receipts, payments, and reports on deliveries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
