Job summary

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to join our warehouse team in California. You will safely deliver and retrieve construction equipment and materials to and from jobsites while maintaining timely delivery schedules.

This role requires a valid Class C license, pre-employment drug screening, and the ability to pass physical requirements. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 6 p.m.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of delivery experience related to construction equipment.
• Valid Class C driver's license with a clean record (≤2 points in past five years).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Physical ability to load, unload, and handle equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Proficient in English, with clear report and email writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate company stake beds or vehicles to deliver or pick-up various sized equipment and material.
• Hook-up, attach or disconnect trailers to vehicles as needed.
• Tow trailers as needed to transport equipment and materials when required.
• Tie-down and inspect cargo ensuring department policies are practiced.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Ensure paperwork and email communication is completed accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors and other team members regarding delivery arrival times.
• Perform general maintenance and warehouse duties during non-drive time.
• Adaptable to work independently and as part of a team.
• Operate forklifts to move equipment as needed.
• Additional duties will be assigned as needed to support the operations of the department.

Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP) is a leading provider of skilled trade services throughout California, headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. We are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to join our warehouse team. The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely delivering and retrieving construction equipment and materials to and from jobsites while maintaining timely and efficient delivery schedules.

This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. During periods when deliveries are not scheduled, the Delivery Driver will support warehouse operations by loading and unloading materials, organizing inventory, maintaining the warehouse and yard, and assisting with other operational tasks as assigned.

Schedule

• Wednesday through Sunday 6 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of delivery experience related to construction equipment or a closely related field
• Valid and insurable Class C driver’s license (defined as holding a valid license with no more than two points on driving record within the past five years)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Physical ability to load, unload, and handle equipment, including lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Proficient in English communication, with the ability to write reports and emails clearly and effectively
