Job description

North Florida Sales is a locally owned and operated company. Started in 1995, NFS strives to be a leader in sales and service in the beverage industry in Jacksonville and Lake City, Florida. North Florida Sales has been serving the needs of beer lovers in North Florida for more than 20 years, representing brands such as Budweiser, Michelob', Corona, Modelo and Bold City.

We are seeking exceptional drivers to join our team in providing excellent service.

Reports To: Team Leader

Division: Off Premise

Non-Exempt

Summary: Delivers North Florida Sales products in a pre-established sales territory by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reports to work no later than 6:30 am, on each assigned day. Tuesday-Friday(4 Day work week!) Training period Monday-Friday. Schedule is subject to change as needed.
  • Follows an established daily route sequence to ensure all customers receive proper service.
  • Delivers packaged product and kegs. Unloads product from truck.
  • Rotates all product including back stock upon delivery per company policy.
  • Stocks shelves and windows, fills cooler shelves at every stop during delivery.
  • Merchandises, fills and builds display as directed.
  • Responsible for empty keg return.
  • Keeps customers informed of all price promotions, new products and merchandising opportunities.
  • Monitors State of Florida “No Sale” and “Cash Only” lists to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for accurate accounting of all payments and shortages.
  • Records all stops and transactions in hand-held device.
  • Reconciles beginning truck inventory with ending truck inventory and sales.
  • Works closely with Team Leader and Sales Representatives to ensure all customer needs are met.
  • Communicates daily with Team Leader and Sales Representatives with any concerns or opportunities.
  • Maintains NFS’ culture of dignity and respect and works as a productive member of a team.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Attends North Florida Sales meetings as required.
  • Adheres to all Anheuser-Busch policies.
  • Adheres to all State Beverage Laws.
  • Operates company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Wears only company provided uniforms.
  • Checks mailbox daily for sale updates, customer call-ins, and other pertinent information.
  • Responsible for all equipment supplied to them by the company.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to write reports or correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with customers.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to work with money and make change.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Class A Commercial Driver’s License and safe driving record meeting NFS’ MVR guidelines. Must maintain CDL and driving eligibility during entire employment. Ability to obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certification card.
