Job summary

Pacific Seafood in South Bend seeks a Delivery Driver – Class A to ensure accurate, timely deliveries to our customers. You will load, transport, and unload products, maintain safety and compliance, and uphold Pacific Seafood's commitment to service and quality.

The role requires a CDL Class A, a valid driving record, and at least six months of tractor-trailer experience or equivalent training. A high school diploma and strong organizational skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum six months related experience driving tractor trailer field and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid CDL Class A.
• Preferred: clean driving record.
• Preferred: Microsoft Teams knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Efficient operations: pick/pack orders, drive and deliver to customers, load/unload products, and configure routes as needed.
• Quality and compliance: verify orders, complete paperwork, ensure safe loading, secure loads, return documents, and keep vehicle clean.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support overall goals of the position.

Summary: The Delivery Driver – Class A at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Transportation team supporting efforts to ensure total customer satisfaction through complete and reliable delivery service. This position involves handling products carefully and delivering them in a timely manner to the correct destination and is ideal for someone who is reliable, safety conscious, and has strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Efficient Operations:

• Picking and packing orders.
• Drive and deliver orders to customers.
• Load and unload products.
• Configure routes when necessary to help improve service levels to customers.

2. Quality and Compliance:

• Verify order to ensure correct products loaded.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Ensure goods are loaded into trucks in a safe and logical order.
• Make sure the load is properly secured.
• Return all shipping documents to Transportation Manager on completion of deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and report any maintenance problems to manager.
• Represent the company in a positive manner in all customer interactions.
• Address and resolve customer problems, as appropriate.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.

What you bring to Pacific Seafood

Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• A minimum of six months related experience driving tractor trailer field and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid CDL Class A.

• Microsoft Teams knowledge.
