Job summary

Prime Meats LLC is seeking a full-time CDL driver based in Buford, GA. You will transport fresh and frozen protein products to restaurants, supermarkets, and other foodservice partners, while maintaining cold chain and safety standards.

Enjoy a Monday–Friday schedule with some Saturday work during peak times, plus paid training and benefits. Responsibilities include performing pre/post-trip inspections, optimizing routes with the logistics team, and delivering professional service at every stop.

Qualifications

• CDL driving experience requested (6+ months).
• Ability to communicate in basic English.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport protein products to customers along assigned routes.
• Maintain on-time delivery and support logistics and customer service goals.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Maintain cold chain and proper product handling to ensure safety and quality.
• Collaborate with Logistics to optimize routes and communicate delays.
• Provide professional customer service at each stop and verify orders and documentation.
• Load/unload and secure products following safety standards.
• Collect payments and delivery confirmations, and complete required documentation.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and report safety or maintenance concerns promptly.

About the Job:

• Full-time opportunity with a guaranteed 40-hour workweek. Enjoy a regular Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional Saturdays during peak seasons, including holiday periods, to support increased production demand.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport fresh, frozen, and refrigerated protein products to restaurants, supermarkets, butcher shops, distributors, and other foodservice customers within assigned routes.
• Execute daily route plans efficiently while maintaining on-time delivery performance and supporting overall logistics and customer service objectives.
• Perform independent pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.
• Maintain the cold chain and proper product handling procedures to preserve food safety, product integrity, and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with the Logistics team to optimize delivery schedules, identify route efficiencies, and proactively communicate potential delays.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries by professionally interacting with restaurant operators, store managers, receiving personnel, and other customer contacts.
• Verify orders, delivery documentation, customer requirements, and special instructions to ensure accurate and complete deliveries.
• Safely load, unload, and secure products while following company safety standards and proper lifting techniques.
• Collect payments, obtain delivery confirmations, and accurately complete required transportation and customer documentation.
• Utilize ELD systems and other transportation technology to maintain accurate records of driving hours, inspections, and route activity.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations, food safety standards, and company policies related to transportation and distribution.
• Report safety concerns, vehicle maintenance needs, incidents, customer feedback, and operational improvement opportunities promptly.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Prime Meats by delivering a professional, reliable, and customer-focused experience at every stop.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on route planning, delivery processes, customer needs, and operational efficiencies.
• Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety, defensive driving practices, and accident prevention at all times.

Requirements:

• At least 6 months of experience as a CDL driver.
• Willing to travel out of town weekly and lift up to 110 lbs.
• Willing to get Composite or steel-toe shoes.
• No serious tickets or accidents in the last 3 years.
• DOT Medical Card/physical required. We can sponsor your medical card if you do not have one (subject to terms and conditions).
• No DWI/DUI in the last 10 years.
• Ability to communicate in basic English required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and complete the E-Verify employment verification process.
