Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator to transport steel parts between fabrication shops and job sites, ensuring safe loading, on-time deliveries, and courteous customer service.

You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, comply with DOT regulations, coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch, and uphold our values of professionalism, reliability, and safety in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid DOT CDL Class B driver\'s license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience delivering steel or construction materials is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and DOT laws.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Safely transport steel parts and plates between our fabrication shops and job sites.
  • Ensure the secure loading and unloading of materials, following both safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure the vehicle's safety and promptly report any issues.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch, colleagues, and clients, working together to address any concerns.
  • Perform a strong adherence to DOT regulations and traffic laws.
Requirements
  • Must hold a valid DOT CDL Class B driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in steel or construction material delivery is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed is required.
  • Possess attention to detail.
  • Have thorough understanding of, and adherence to, all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
