Position Summary

As a Delivery Driver, you'll safely deliver wine and spirits to customers along established routes while providing exceptional customer service. You'll ensure products are delivered accurately, maintain required DOT documentation, collect payments when necessary, and represent the company professionally.

Essential Position Results

• Determine condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirements.
• Maintain safe vehicle and conditions and protect load by complying with organization policies, procedures, highway rules and regulations.
• Distribute spirits and wine by driving delivery truck to specific customers.
• Unload truck by use of hand truck, dolly, or pallet jack.
• Reconcile customers’ invoice by collecting COD as specified on invoice and recording transactions on company and customer receipt.
• Record daily deliveries by completing delivery records as needed.
• Provide customer service by listening and resolving customer concerns.
• Collect product returns by obtaining customers’ signature on receipt for pick up or delivery.
• Maintain records by completing DOT driver log.
• Maintain appearance of delivery truck by daily cleaning of the inside of the truck cab and box.
• Report and request routine truck maintenance by completing electronic and written maintenance request form.
• Perform duties in a safe manner by following established safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certifications and /or licenses:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid CDL Class B or Class A (Commercial Drivers Licence).
• Clean MVR record

Experience:

• 1 to 2 years related delivery experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Must have general knowledge of DOT regulations and proven history of safe driving.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to associates.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Basic understanding of shipping/receiving and inventory control principals.
• Ability to multi‑task, work independently and/or within a team, pays attention to detail and meet deadlines.
