Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Delivery Driver (CDL A) in Santa Ana, CA to safely load, deliver, and unload compressed gas cylinders from a local Airgas branch. You will build relationships with customers while ensuring each delivery is recorded, signed for, and compliant with safety standards.

The role offers hours Monday–Friday, home daily, with a pay range of $28–$30 per hour plus potential monthly bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Class A CDL with Hazmat & Airbrake endorsements.
• Must pass Medical Card and comply with DOT regulations.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and move 125+ lbs with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases safely.
• Record deliveries and sign for receipts; manage returns.
• Adhere to Airgas safety standards and government regulations (DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, OSHA).
• Provide warehouse or dock assistance as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cylinder Handling:Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.
• Record Keeping:Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.
• Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
• Warehouse Support:Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements
• Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
• Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.
