Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Deliver product by car to customer door, including delivery of flyers and door hangers.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.

Training

• Orientation and training provided on the job.

Communication Skills

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions / Skills

• Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly; acceptable to use a calculator.
• Make correct monetary change.
• Use verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Maintain motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements.
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Navigate maps, locate addresses within the designated delivery area, and handle navigation on adverse terrain such as multi‑story buildings and private homes.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions while removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
• In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas; sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.
• Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts.
• Near and mid‑range vision required for most in‑store tasks; depth perception; ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
• Standing most tasks, walking on ceramic tile or linoleum, work surfaces height 36–48”.
• Walking generally short distances for short durations; must travel between store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
• Paperwork typically completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting: bulk deliveries twice a week or more unloaded by team member using a hand truck; cases up to 50 pounds, dimensions up to 3’ × 1.5’; stack onto shelves up to 72”.
• Carrying: large cans (~3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (~30 lb), trays of pizza dough (≈12 lb each, three at a time) over short distances.
• Delivering pizzas within designated area, multiple deliveries per shift.
• Pushing: move trays on dollies; stack approx. 24–30”, force up to 7.5 lb to push or pull.
• Climbing: infrequently navigate stairs or climb ladder for maintenance; five or more flights of stairs may be required during delivery.
• Stoop/Bend: forward bending at the pizza assembly station, 40–45 s at a time, repeated continuously; also at front counter when stocking ingredients.
• Crouch/ Squat: occasional use while stocking shelves and cleaning low areas.
• Reach: continuously up, down, and forward; above 72” to turn on/off oven controls, change prices, lift objects; down to scoop cornmeal or wash dishes; forward to obtain toppings, clean surfaces, answer phones.
