We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to provide excellent service and timely delivery of Domino’s pizzas and related products to customers throughout the area.
Job Requirements and Duties
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle suitable for delivery.
- Must possess navigational and map‑reading skills and be able to navigate multi‑story buildings and adverse terrain.
- Deliver pizzas and related items within the designated delivery area.
- Deliver flyers and door hangers.
- Operate all store equipment associated with delivery.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product, receive and process telephone orders, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility on a daily basis.
Training and Development
Orientation and on-the-job training are provided.
Communication and Technical Skills
- Ability to comprehend and give written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers over the phone and in person.
- Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly; provide correct monetary change.
- Keyboard or touch-screen proficiency for order entry.
- Motor coordination required for rapid and accurate movements.
- Reading a map and locating addresses within the delivery area.
Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler areas to 90°F and above in some work areas.
- Fumes from food odors and cornmeal dust.
- Exposure to hot surfaces and sharp edges.
- Physical demands such as lifting, carrying, pushing, walking, and occasionally climbing stairs or ladders.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for most tasks; walking surfaces include ceramic tile or linoleum.
- Walking short distances frequently; travel between store and vehicle and to customer locations.
- Occasional brief sitting for paperwork.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds with hand trucks; stacking items up to 72 in. high.
- Carrying items such as large cans, sauce, and pizza dough trays (total weight up to 12 lb. per tray).
- Push or pull trays on dollies; requires up to 7.5 lb. of force.
- Climbing five or more flights of stairs may be required during delivery.
- Stooping and bending at the waist for assembly and stocking tasks.
- Crouching or squatting occasionally to reach shelves and clean low areas.
- Reaching above 72 in., down, and forward for various tasks.
- Driving within designated area with a vehicle that meets company standards.
Additional Job Details
- Maintaining eye-hand coordination during pizza dough shaping, pizza peeling, and box assembly.
- Use of tools such as pencil, computer, phone, calculator, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, and pizza peel.
