Job summary

Jimmy John’s is seeking Rockstar Delivery Drivers to join the team. Earn a base hourly rate in shop, mileage reimbursement, and keep your own tips. Average shifts pay between $16-$24 per hour after tips and mileage.

When not delivering, drivers work in the store at in-shop hourly rates starting at $13.00 during training and $13.25 after training. This is a customer-service role with potential for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must have a vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.
• Delivery is a customer service job requiring a friendly, on-time service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver sandwiches to customers in the designated delivery area.

Job description

Jimmy John's is looking to add some Rockstar Delivery Drivers to our team! Immediate openings available!

Drivers earn a base hour in shop, plus mileage reimbursement, plus keep your own tips! Delivery areas are small so less mileage on your vehicle and less wasted time, meaning more delivery runs and more tips. Driver on an average shift make between $16 - $24 per hour after tips and mileage reimbursement!

Between deliveries, drivers work in the store and are paid inshop hourly rates (starts at $13.00 during training and $13.25 once completed! Pay will continue to grow with you as you develop your JJ skills and we offer a clear path to move up within the company.) Delivery is a customer service job, so following customer's request and doing it with a smile can lead to more successful days.

Driver's primary responsibility is to deliver sandwiches to customers in the designated delivery area. Drivers are expected to check all products for accuracy against quality standards and deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous and timely manner.

Pay: Base hourly pay plus tips and mileage reimbursement (Tips and Mileage Reimbursement paid out at the end of each shift)

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record
• Drive safe and obey the rules of the road
• Work as an in-shopper when there are no deliveries
• Makes fast, accurate and consistent sandwiches
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant including lobby area, restrooms, kitchen, etc.
• Greets customers and takes orders – operates cash register – collects payment from customer and makes change.
• Takes phone orders and completes delivery tickets
• Fills out systems and procedures with 100% accuracy and integrity
• Maintains professional appearance at all times in compliance with the Jimmy John’s Dress Code
• Displays a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments
• Performs other related duties as required
• Deliver orders in a safe and timely manner
• Bags orders accurately and checks bagged orders
• Maintains their own insurance
