CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for a full-time Delivery Driver in West Chester, OH. You will load furniture, deliver to homes or offices, assemble items, and ensure a positive customer experience.

You will work with the Operations team from our warehouse and drive a 26-foot box truck. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 21+, valid driver's license in Ohio, at least 1 year of experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger, ability to lift 100+ pounds, and the ability

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle.
• Physically able to move furniture indoors/outdoors, up or down stairs, and lift 100+ pounds with a partner.
• Must meet FMCSA English language requirements to communicate with the public and complete records.

Responsibilities

• Start your day at the warehouse and review your route with the operations team.
• Drive a 26-foot box truck with lift gate to customers' homes or offices.
• Unload, deliver, and install furniture and interact with customers.
• Assist in the warehouse with loading/unloading as needed.

Overview

CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for full-time non-CDL drivers in West Chester, OH!

The Delivery Driver works collaboratively as part of the Operations team. You will be responsible for loading furniture and delivering safely to customers' homes or office spaces. You will also be assembling furniture for the customer and going above and beyond to ensure a positive customer experience.

Pay: $22 / hour

Schedule: Standard is Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm; some flexibility or overtime may be required

Responsibilities

• Start your day at our warehouse where you'll meet to review your route, safety topics, and more with the operations team
• Drive a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate to customers' homes or offices
• Unload, deliver, and install furniture while interacting with customers
• Assist in the warehouse as needed; this may require loading and unloading furniture

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid and current driver's license in the state of residency
• A minimum of 1 year professional experience driving a 24-foot box truck or larger commercial vehicle
• Physically able and willing to move furniture indoors, outdoors, up or down stairs and in all weather conditions; ability to lift 100+ pounds with a partner
• Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration regulations
  • Per FMSCA Regulations: Drivers must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
• Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, which includes passing a physical and drug screening
• Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
• Acceptable MVR per CORT's Safe Driving Standards
