Horizon Delivery Squad is seeking a Delivery Driver Associate to deliver packages on a fast-paced route. You will drive a company van, load and unload items, and ensure on-time arrivals with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

• Must be 21 years or older and able to read and speak English.
• Valid Connecticut driver's license; CDL not required.

Responsibilities

• Successfully handle and deliver packages on time (170-350/day).
• Work about 4-5 days per week and up to 12 hours per day (routes ~10 hours).
• Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle.
• Safely drive and perform safety inspections on company vehicle; follow laws and policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction in stressful conditions.
• Lift packages up to 50 lbs; navigate stairs and driveways during shifts.
• Communicate with support team to ensure deliveries are completed.
• Use smartphone for GPS, scanning, clocking in/out, and team communications.
• Participate in rescue calls when others need route assistance.

A company has partnered with local Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), which are independent delivery organizations responsible for delivering thousands of packages to customers each day.

As an employee of a Delivery Service Partner (DSP), you will be directly employed by the DSP (Horizon Delivery Squad) operating from a local distribution station.

Compensation: Starting at $24.25/hour with Merit Increases & Bonus Potential!

Delivery Driver Associate Responsibilities:

• Successfully handle and deliver packages on time (170-350/day).
• You can expect to work about 4-5 days per week and up to 12 hours per day (routes are mapped for 10 hours).
• Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle.
• Safely drive and perform safety inspections on Company vehicle; follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events / conditions.
• Keep pace in physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions; lift packages (up to 50 lbs.); get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations (walking upstairs and through driveways).
• Communicate effectively with support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed.
• Use smart phone device for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and to communicate professionally with supervisors and other team members.
• Support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes
• Delivery Driver Requirements:

We provide on-the-job training so that all of our team members feel confident on the road and the doorsteps of customers. Health and safety are always a top priority.

• Must be 21 years or older with the ability to read and speak English.
• Must be fit to get on and off the van and carry packages up to 50 pounds.
• Have a valid Connecticut driver's license (a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required) and be eligible to work in the US.
• Be able to operate and navigate a delivery cargo van (you do not need to provide your own vehicle)
• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Able to get in and out of van and walk up and down stairs through your shift
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, not including marijuana
• Must accept text messages from Company managers and other authorized Company employees regarding your schedule, performance, and other Company matters on your personal cell phone
• Must disclose any medical condition that may render you unsafe to perform your duties
