What is an Amazon delivery service partner? Amazon has partnered with local Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), independent delivery organizations that help Amazon deliver thousands of packages to customers every day. As an employee of an Amazon delivery service partner (DSP), you will work directly for the DSP (Horizon Delivery Squad) that operates out of a local Amazon delivery station.

Delivery Driver Associate Responsibilities

• Successfully handle and deliver packages on time (170-350/day).
• Work about 4-5 days per week and up to 12 hours per day (routes are mapped for 10 hours).
• Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle.
• Safely drive and perform safety inspections on company vehicle; follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events/conditions.
• Keep pace in a physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions; lift packages up to 50 lbs.; get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations (walking upstairs and through driveways).
• Communicate effectively with support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed.
• Use a smartphone device for GPS navigation, scanning packages, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and to communicate professionally with supervisors and other team members.
• Support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes.

Delivery Driver Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older with ability to read and speak English.
• Must be fit to get on and off the van and carry packages up to 50 pounds.
• Have a valid Connecticut driver’s license (a commercial driver’s license (CDL) is not required) and be eligible to work in the US.
• Be able to operate and navigate a delivery cargo van (you do not need to provide your own vehicle).
• High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Able to get in and out of van and walk up and down stairs during shift.
• Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug test (ineligible for marijuana).
• Must accept text messages from company managers and other authorized company employees regarding schedule, performance, and other company matters on personal cell phone.
• Must disclose any medical condition that may render you unsafe to perform duties.
