Job summary

Balkan Beverage is looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team in Liverpool, NY. You will deliver products safely and professionally, manage invoicing and payments, and work with sales staff to meet customer expectations.

A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required; base pay plus commission offers strong earning potential. In this role you’ll maintain the delivery vehicle, complete required documents, and ensure accurate invoicing and signatures at delivery.

Job Location: Balkan Syracuse - Liverpool, NY 13088, Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 Base+Commission/year, Job Category: General Labor, Non-CDL Delivery Driver

Balkan Beverage is a mid-sized beverage distribution company operating out of Lancaster NY with additional warehouses in Syracuse and Rochester. Deliver product to our customers in a safe, professional, and courteous manner; including invoicing and picking up payments from customers as instructed.

Essential Functions (must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation)

• Operate a vehicle and deliver assigned orders.


• Maintain vehicle.


• Determines condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use; logging inspection; reporting requirements


• Maintains safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies, procedures, highway rules and regulations.


• Maintains appearance of delivery truck by daily cleaning of the inside of the truck.


• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.


• Manage the Customer Relationship


• If Applicable, collect payment from customers and reconcile the assigned load with receipts and delivery invoice.


• Properly invoice, collecting appropriate signature, and proper documentation of all deliveries.


• Performs duties in a safe manner by following established safety rules and regulations.


• Work, when assigned, with Salesmen and Merchandisers to meet or exceed customer expectations.


• Properly deliver order, putting product away to company standards


• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


• Conduct safe and responsible interactions with the public.


• Responsibly handle products.


• Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.

Qualifications

• Educations and/or Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related work or educational experience preferred.


• Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


• Interpersonal Skills: Developing and growing relationships.


• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


• Computer Skills: Excellent PC/Laptop/iPad skills required. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience navigating database software; order processing systems; spreadsheet software. Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills.


• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift 50 lbs. and/or move up to 250 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to changing work environments to include cold, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
