Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. is seeking a full-time Delivery Driver based in Stockton, California. Your primary responsibility will be to safely load, secure, and transport flatbed freight while delivering exceptional customer service. The role requires effective communication with dispatch and customers during deliveries.
Required qualifications include a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and at least one year of driving experience. The position offers a pay range of $23.46 - $35.19 per hour and comprehensive benefits for eligible full-time employees.

You will spend your day loading, securing, and transporting flatbed freight safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for inspecting your truck, checking your straps, chains, and tarps, and making sure every load is properly secured before you hit the road. Throughout the day, you will drive to job sites or customer locations, communicate with dispatch, and often assist with unloading or positioning materials once you arrive. You will be hands‑on, safety‑minded, and focused on delivering each load on time.
Merchandising Responsibilities: Build and maintain in‑store product displays to company standards. Face and organize shelves to ensure clean, full, and customer‑ready presentation. Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and identifying low or out‑of‑stock items. Work with company reps to clean, update, and improve display setups. Ensure overall presentation of company products is consistent, organized, and visually appealing. Support customer and dealer functions and events. Perform other duties as assigned by management in support of customer engagement, sales team effectiveness, and business priorities.
A successful delivery driver brings strong safe‑driving habits, reliability, and the ability to manage time effectively while completing multiple stops. You have strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and strict adherence to company, state, and federal regulations. This role works in a combination of warehouse/yard, jobsite/customer locations, and on the road. Work is performed outdoors and around moving vehicles and equipment, with exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain/snow), dust, and loud noise. The position requires frequent climbing in/out of the truck, walking on uneven surfaces, and physical activity related to loading/unloading and load securement (straps, chains, tarps), while following all safety and traffic regulations.

Full‑time position based at our Grand Junction, CO Transfer Center. Relocation is not available for this position.
$23.46 - $35.19 per hour
