Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Nuclear Pharmacy Driver to ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of radiopharmaceuticals to medical providers. The role involves loading, unloading, and handling radioactive materials per DOT safety standards on an assigned route with a company vehicle (non-CDL).

You will use a handheld tablet for orders and navigation, maintain vehicle readiness, and may participate in occasional on-call shifts. Strong customer service and English literacy are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 with valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions day or night.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Able to sit, stand, be mobile and drive extended periods.
• Willing to work weekends, on call, holidays, overtime, or rotate shifts.
• Experience in nuclear environment is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic proficiency in reading/writing English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-CDL).
• Package medications for shipment, perform testing, and load/unload containers.
• Use a handheld tablet to scan orders, obtain route stop information and navigation.
• Process returned packages from customer locations.
• Maintain vehicles; perform minor roadside repairs as needed.
• Perform general facility cleaning and other duties as required.

Shift/Schedule

• 32.5 hours per week
• Monday-Friday 9:30AM to 4:30PM
• Rotating on-call schedule
• Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, hours, come in early, stay late, or work overtime based on business needs.

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation
• Processes packages returned from customer locations
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to lift and manage up to 75 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Ability to work weekends, on call, holidays, overtime, alternate days/shifts, or be in a rotation
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Ability to use computers and tablets
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
• May require vendor credentialing

Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour
