Job summary

Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions is seeking a Delivery Driver in Plymouth, MI. The role requires driving a delivery truck, loading/unloading glass, and navigating routes with GPS or maps. You will ensure on-time deliveries and maintain logs in a fast-paced environment.

Position offers benefits starting Day One, raises with tenure, and requires a valid license, clean driving record, and ability to lift heavy loads. Training on safety and routing will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Driver's license.
• Minimum 1-2 years' current or recent delivery truck driving experience.
• Must pass Driver's Testing.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions.
• Previous warehouse experience highly preferred.
• Proficient in reading and writing English.
• Capable of working in a physically demanding work environment which includes bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting a MINIMUM of 75 LBS; and extensive fast-paced walking in all weather conditions throughout the year.
• Steel toe boots required (not company provided).
• Knowledge of basic math, ability to read and write the English language, and map reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete an efficient delivery and pick-up route for the day.
• Deliver glass to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
• Pick up glass along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
• Maintain truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
• Ensure that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; report larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Maintain telephone and/or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Load and unloads truck with glass scheduled for delivery.
• Assist in general warehouse duties when the delivery route is completed.

Who You Are

A highly motivated and hard-working, reliable, and punctual Delivery Driver. Someone who is ambitious and hardworking and does not mind working in various weather conditions. This is a high touch position which requires the Delivery Driver to assist with loading and unloading.

What You Will Be Doing

• Current Driver's license with good driving record
