Job summary

CORT is seeking a full‑time Delivery Driver in Pittsburgh, PA to load, transport, and install furniture at customer locations. You will drive a 26‑foot box truck, follow safety protocols, and coordinate with the operations team. Excellent customer interaction and physical effort are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid and current driver’s license in the state of residency.
  • A minimum of 1 year professional experience driving a 24‑foot box truck or larger; 2 years preferred.
  • Physically able to move furniture indoors/outdoors, up or down stairs, and lift 100+ pounds with a partner.
  • Able to comply with FMCSA regulations.
  • Must read/speak English sufficiently for duties and records.
  • Possess a valid DOT Medical Examiner Certificate and pass a physical and drug screen.
  • Able to pass a road test per CORT/FMCSA requirements.
  • Maintains acceptable MVR per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Start your day at the warehouse with the operations team to review route and safety topics.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Drive a 26‑foot box truck with lift gate to customers’ homes or offices.
  • Unload, deliver, and install furniture while interacting with customers.
  • Assist in the warehouse as needed; may require loading/unloading furniture.

Hiring Overview

Full‑time non‑CDL drivers in Pittsburgh, PA. The Delivery Driver works collaboratively as part of the Operations team. Responsibilities include loading furniture and delivering safely to customers’ homes or office spaces, assembling furniture, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Pay & Schedule
  • Pay: $19–$20 per hour depending on experience.
  • Schedule: Standard is Monday–Friday 7am–4pm; some flexibility or overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations
    • Per FMCSA Regulations: Drivers must read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
  • Ability to maintain a valid DOT Medical Evaluator Certificate, which includes passing a physical and drug screening
  • Ability to successfully pass a road test based on FMCSA/CORT requirements
  • Acceptable MVR per CORT’s Safe Driving Standards
