Each location, called a Profit Center (PC), operates like a small business, including a warehouse, counter, sales office, and sometimes a showroom. These PCs serve local markets under unique trade names, offering tailored business approaches.

Hughes Supply is one such trade name, seeking a Delivery Driver at its Pineville, NC location.

Role Responsibilities:

• Operate trucks safely, complying with company policies and laws. Deliver to job sites, customer facilities, vendors, other Hajoca locations, or wholesalers.
• Load merchandise, secure it properly, and ensure the availability of unloading equipment.
• Understand and verify shipping documents, follow accurate directions, and review order accuracy.
• Unload merchandise at customer sites, obtain signatures, and secure payments for cash deliveries.
• Resolve shipping discrepancies, load merchandise from various locations, and note potential sales leads.
• Inspect the truck and equipment, report mechanical issues, and perform daily safety checks.
• Complete safety training and perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements:

• Must be able to drive vehicles over 10,000 lbs with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Be at least 21 years old, pass a DOT physical, and adhere to safety regulations.
• Ability to build positive relationships, remain calm under stress, learn warehouse equipment, and operate delivery systems.
• Proficiency in English and basic math skills.
