Job summary

Rustic Bakery is seeking a delivery driver to load and deliver products from our Commissary in Novato to cafes in Marin County and other accounts. Must be available 5 days a week, including weekends, with starting time between 4am-4:30am; reliable, punctual service is essential.

Role involves safe driving, professional customer interactions, and accurate documentation while upholding sanitation standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience with delivery practices and food handling methods.
• Maintains a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Works well with minimal supervision and has strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Proven ability to follow through and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Ability to work varied days and hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Loads vehicle for delivery and unloads product at each scheduled location.
• Observes safe driving practices, all traffic laws and posted speed limits.
• Interacts with and provides great service to customers and Rustic Bakery staff in a professional manner.
• Collects required signatures and/or paperwork as needed.
• Returns all required documentation to the appropriate department/employee.
• Follows all sanitation, health dept standards for food deliveries and handling.
• Maintains neat personal appearance and vehicle condition.
• Performs daily van maintenance checks and reports issues.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

We operate four popular cafes in Marin and have a wholesale production division making flatbread crackers, cookies and crisps in Petaluma. POSITION SUMMARY

Loads and delivers product from our Commissary in Novato to our Cafes in Marin County and other customer accounts. Ensures on time and accurate deliveries. Must be available to work 5 days a week, weekends included, with starting time between 4am-4:30am.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loads vehicle for delivery and unloads product at each scheduled location.
• Observes safe driving practices, all traffic laws and posted speed limits.
• Interacts with and provides great service to customers and Rustic Bakery staff in a professional manner.
• Collects required signatures and/or paperwork as needed.
• Returns all required documentation to the appropriate department/employee.
• Complies with established sanitation, personal hygiene, and health dept standards for food deliveries and food handling. Observes no smoking in delivery vehicle.
• Maintains a neat, clean personal appearance.
• Unloads vehicle after completing all delivery runs and leaves the vehicle in a neat, clean, and satisfactory condition.
• Performs daily van maintenance checks and reports any issues.
• Collects pertinent information if involved in an accident and informs appropriate company official.
• Follows safe working practices.
• Follows all policies, procedures, and uniform standards, leading by example.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
