Job Summary

The purpose of this job is to perform a variety of routine transportation tasks to facilitate the delivery of products, supplies, and custom orders between the bakery, retail locations, and special event venues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned and/or leased vehicles for the delivery, pick-up, and relocation of bakery products and other supplies/materials.
• Plan daily deliveries by organizing loads and routing.
• Perform required before-, during-, and after-operation 'user maintenance'; provide required receipts and reports.
• Ensure outstanding guest service by delivering exemplary customer service during delivery operations.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to successfully obtain/maintain CDL license.
• 1 or more year(s) as a delivery driver is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to develop and maintain productive and positive relationships with vendors, customers, and other employees.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal/external customers.
• Strong organizational skills for administrative duties, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

Environment & Working Conditions

This job operates in outside weather conditions, with exposure to extreme heat, wet and humid conditions, as well as extreme cold weather.

Physical Demands

Requires talking and hearing, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, and regularly lifting/moving items up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities are required, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception. Regular weekend work is required.
