Position Overview

Allied Supply is seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team based in Lima, OH. This position is primarily responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to customers while providing outstanding customer service. When not making deliveries, the Delivery Driver will assist with warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, and other general warehouse duties to support daily operations.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, dependable, and customer-focused, with the flexibility to balance driving responsibilities and warehouse support. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork while operating delivery vehicles, material handling equipment, and warehouse tools.

Shift/Hours

7:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods across designated routes in a timely manner.
• Load and unload products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring proper handling of all items.
• Navigate route driving efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by delivering products courteously and professionally.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as loading inventory, organizing stock, and maintaining cleanliness of the delivery area.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols during loading, unloading, and driving activities to ensure personal and team safety.

Qualifications

• Prior delivery driver experience preferred; experience with route driving is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical clearance
• Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual transmission vehicles is desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform physical tasks such as moving boxes or inventory.
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with logistics operations is advantageous.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, moving equipment, and vehicle operation. This position offers an engaging work environment for individuals committed to providing excellent service while maintaining safety standards on the road and in the warehouse.
