Job summary

Euro USA Inc. is seeking a Driver to ensure timely deliveries along designated routes, maintain a safe driving record, and provide exceptional service to our customers.

You will load/unload, check orders, handle paperwork, communicate with managers, and adhere to DOT regulations and safety procedures. Valid license and at least one year of delivery experience required; CDL may be required for certain vehicles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• CDL-A/B or C may be required to operate certain vehicles.
• Minimum one year of experience required.
• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and DOT regulations.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses on assigned route in a safe, timely manner.
• Complete any needed deliveries/pickups outside of typically assigned routes.
• Contact Logistics Manager or Receiving Warehouse Manager when pickups are made so Cleveland can be notified.
• Contact Logistics Manager or sales associate when there are any issues with deliveries.
• Report to work at the scheduled time and in the Euro USA uniform and any navigation devices.
• Check in orders to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Accept payments on occasion.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record including E-logs when required.
• Maintain cleanliness of truck cab and refrigerated box.
• Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Obtain customer signature acknowledging delivery and note on the invoice any product not on truck, damaged or refused.
• Check in at end of shift with QC (Quality Control) Manager regarding returned product and pallets.
• Perform loader/wrapper duties, as needed.
• Wrap pallets of items pulled and staged.
• Maintain an organized dock area to ensure proper loading and safety.

• Sitting, driving, lifting, and carrying up to 85 lbs. for an extended period of time
• Climbing stairs while lifting and carrying up to 85 lbs. necessary at some customer locations
• Position spends 6 – 8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing and sitting.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
