Job summary

Best-One Tire & Service at our Post Road location in Indianapolis is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver to join our team. You will safely operate a box truck (under 26,000 lbs), deliver orders on designated routes, assist customers, and help ensure accurate invoicing and payments at delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Ability to pass a state DOT medical exam.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some distribution/supply experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck under 26,000 pounds (CDL not required).
• Pickup, drive, deliver and unload per daily routes.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery and receipt of payments.
• Complete Pre & Post Trip inspections before each trip.
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance per policies.

Best-One Tire & Service at our Post Road location is looking for a Delivery Driver who is a dependable driver to join our team. Responsibilities include delivering orders safely and on time, loading and unloading and providing excellent customer service, if this is you, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do as a Delivery Driver:

• Safely operate a box truck less than 26,000 pounds. (CDL not required)
• Picking up, driving, delivering and unloading per daily designated routes.
• Customer service – deliver product, unload product, accept payments, record check # or other payment method on invoice, take customer complaints.
• Monitor the need for maintenance or major repairs by completing the Pre & Post Trip Inspection checklist for each trip.
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with company operational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Interface with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely deliveries, including pulling orders, receiving and putting away product.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications as a Delivery Driver:

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history.
• Must be able to obtain at DOT medical card.
• Ability to pass a state Department of Transportation medical exam.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Some distribution supply experience preferred.
• Some computer skills preferred, data entry skills a plus.
• Commitment to service beyond the expectations of our customers.
• Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and complete instructions.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment
• Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
