Job summary

Best-One Tire & Service Inc is hiring a Delivery Driver for our Post Rd location in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time role offers starting pay at $20/hr+ with benefits including health, dental and vision, paid holidays, 401K matching, uniform program, and ongoing training.

You will safely operate a box truck, deliver and unload orders, provide excellent customer service, and support the shipping/receiving process while adhering to company policies. DOT medical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Able to pass a state Department of Transportation medical exam.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Some distribution experience preferred.
• Some computer skills preferred, data entry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck (<26,000 lbs; CDL not required).
• Pick up, drive, deliver and unload per daily routes.
• Provide customer service: deliver, unload, accept payments, record payment methods, address complaints.
• Complete Pre & Post Trip Inspection for each trip.
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance per policies.
• Interface with shipping/receiving for timely deliveries and put-away product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do as a Delivery Driver:

• Safely operate a box truck less than 26,000 pounds. (CDL not required)
• Picking up, driving, delivering and unloading per daily designated routes.
• Customer service – deliver product, unload product, accept payments, record check # or other payment method on invoice, take customer complaints.
• Monitor the need for maintenance or major repairs by completing the Pre & Post Trip Inspection checklist for each trip.
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with company operational policies, procedures, and standards.
• Interface with shipping and receiving personnel to ensure timely deliveries, including pulling orders, receiving and putting away product.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications as a Delivery Driver:
