• Must hold a valid Driver’s License and be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
• No major violations or accidents on driving record within past 36 months.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to lift over 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deliveries and pickups with supervisor.
• Build loads for deliveries and verify accuracy before and after delivery to jobsite.
• Loading / unloading materials
• Maintaining a safe load
• Adept with dealing with unexpected situations (traffic, weather, equipment failures, etc.) in a timely manner
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and reports and signs for any corrective action taken for repair while notifying supervisor of issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of all equipment used to meet DOT guidelines
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods, etc.) as well as company policies and procedures.
• Notify supervisor immediately of accidents or violations.
• Fully understands and complies with DOT securement standards.

• Notify supervisor immediately of accidents or violations.
• Fully understands and complies with DOT securement standards.

Qualifications

• Currently hold and maintain a valid Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain and maintain DOT physical medical card
• No major violations or accidents on driving record (past 36 months)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Individuals need to sit, stand or walk as needed; must be able to lift over 50 pounds regularly using proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one‑on‑one.
