Job description

Jimmy John's Delivery Driver's goal is to get that sandwich in the customer's hand as quickly as possible. We achieve this by learning the most efficient routes, double-checking orders to ensure accuracy, and hustling on our feet while always prioritizing safety and obeying traffic laws. Drivers earn cash daily!

When not on delivery, drivers work as in-shoppers and are compensated accordingly. As a customer service role, following customer requests and maintaining a friendly attitude can lead to more successful days.

We are a leading Jimmy Johns Franchisee with over 15 years of experience and 12 locations in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Drivers start with an hourly pay between $7.25 and $8.25, averaging $18-$25 per hour including tips and delivery mileage reimbursement.

Essential Functions Include:

1. Taking telephone orders and completing delivery tickets courteously and promptly
2. Accepting payments from customers
3. Reconciling cash from delivery sales with management at the end of shifts
4. Working as an in-shopper when no deliveries are scheduled, preparing sandwiches quickly, accurately, and consistently
5. Following all portion sizes, recipes, systems, and procedures
6. Passing a sandwich test at the end of the first two weeks and during ongoing assessments
7. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant, including tables, floors, windows, beverage stations, and restrooms
8. Greeting customers, taking orders, operating the cash register, and handling payments and change
9. Providing genuine greetings and farewells to customers
10. Completing system entries with 100% accuracy and integrity
11. Maintaining a professional appearance in compliance with the dress code
12. Displaying a positive attitude and enthusiasm in all tasks
13. Being at least 18 years old
14. Having a vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record
15. Having at least 2 years of driving experience
16. Driving safely and obeying traffic laws within the designated delivery area
