US FOODS is hiring a CDL A Delivery Driver in Coralville, IA. Local position that gets you home every day with a 3 AM to 6 AM start. Monday–Friday, weekends off, and a $32.81 per hour base pay plus overtime.

Eligible new hires may receive a $10,000 retention bonus and benefits beginning Day One. The role involves delivering to customers, safe driving, unloading, verifying deliveries, and providing professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• Minimum 6 months of commercial driving experience (any industry) or 3 months in food/beverage delivery.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Safe Driving: Deliver products to customers in a timely and safe manner.
• Unloading: Unload products using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand; 100% touch freight.
• Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures.
• Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.
• Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.

CDL A Delivery Driver – Position Overview

You'll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision.The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• - Safe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner.
• - Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight.
• - Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures.
• - Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience.
• - Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards.
• - Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable.
• - Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• - Lift/carry/push/pull/lower 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.
• - Driving & working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required.
• - Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment as low as 0 degrees.
• - Continuously grasp objects & manipulate objects. Frequently sit, stand, walk, drive, climb/balance, stoop/squat, kneel/bend, bend, reach above shoulder, twist, and use manual dexterity.

Qualifications

• - Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
• - Must be at least 21 years of age.
• - Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
• - Minimum6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR3-months commercial driving experience in the foodand/or beverage delivery industryrequired.
• - Ability tooperatemanual transmission preferred; may berequiredin specific locations.
• - Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $32.81 and$34.90.

As applicable, this role may also receive overtime compensation, retention bonus.
