Job summary

Spivey Services in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely deliver and pick up rental equipment and provide excellent customer service. You will work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires loading and unloading, navigating routes, maintaining logs, and verifying deliveries at restricted-access sites. A Virginia DMV background and non-CDL large-truck experience are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Must have “0 or Plus” DMV Driving Points with a Virginia license.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Must have truck driver experience with large trucks (18'–24') Non-CDL.
• Prior yard, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and set up portable toilets at designated locations; retrieve units after service.
• Review daily delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely completion.
• Load, deliver, and retrieve traffic control equipment to and from job sites.
• Complete delivery logs, mileage reports, and fuel receipts accurately.
• Ensure proper documentation for restricted-access sites when applicable.
• Capture required signatures, delivery confirmations, and materials tracking forms.
• Assist warehouse or yard staff with inventory organization or equipment movement.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
• Performs all other duties as required.

Position Summary

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe delivery and pickup of rental equipment while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport and set up portable toilets at designated locations; retrieve units upon completion of service
• Review daily delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and efficient completion of assigned deliveries
• Load, deliver, and retrieve traffic control equipment to and from job sites
• Complete delivery logs, mileage reports, and fuel receipts accurately and in a timely manner
• Ensure proper documentation for restricted-access sites when applicable (e.g., naval base access, DBIDS/RAPID)
• Capture required signatures, delivery confirmations, and materials tracking forms
• Assist warehouse or yard staff with inventory organization, material staging, or equipment movement when delivery workload is low
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs designed to support career growth from entry-level roles to long-term opportunities within the company
• Performs all other duties as required
