Elliott Electric Supply is seeking a delivery driver to transport materials on assigned routes with safety and professionalism. You will provide prompt, courteous customer service and unload at stops, verifying accuracy and condition.
Daily vehicle inspections and potential warehouse duties are part of the role. Qualifications include a high school diploma (preferred), proficiency with Android/iOS, and a valid state license with a clean MVR.
Transport materials along assigned routes, operating vehicles safely and professionally. Provide excellent customer service through prompt, courteous deliveries. Secure loads for safe transit and unload materials at each stop, verifying accuracy and condition. Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure maintenance and safety. May also handle general warehouse duties as assigned.
This is a safety-sensitive position requiring constant awareness. Employment is contingent on a pre-employment drug test screening for amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana (THC), methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines per HHS/SAMHSA cutoff levels. Note: under USDOT rule 49 CFR Part 40.151(e), medical marijuana is not an acceptable explanation for a THC-positive result.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Must demonstrate proficiency with Android or iOS operating systems. Valid driver’s license from the state of residence is required, minimum of three (3) years of driving history. A satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR), with noType A violation within the past seven years; aspeeding violation of 15+ mph over the limit within the past three years; or more than one (1) Type B violations within the past three years. A minimum of one (1) year of experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 10,001 lbs. or greater within the last 36 months. Strong skills in reading, writing, performing basic calculations, data entry, reasoning, and analysis are essential. The ability to work independently while managing a variety of tasks accurately and with attention to detail in a team-oriented environment is required.
Must meet the physical qualifications to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with Section 391.41 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration (FMCSA). Regular visits to customer sites will expose the employee to various weather conditions and environmental factors. Awareness of and adherence to each customer’s safety protocols is essential, as there may be occasional exposure to hazards such as loud noise or moving machinery. The role requires frequent walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and kneeling. Occasional pushing, pulling, and reaching are necessary. Handling and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds is expected, with occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds.
