Job summary

Trulite Glass & Aluminum Solutions in Birmingham, AL is hiring a Delivery Driver with recent truck driving experience. Pay is $18-22 per hour, with quarterly safety bonuses, and a Monday–Friday schedule 7 AM–5 PM or until work is done.

You will load/unload, plan routes, use GPS, deliver glass, obtain signatures, maintain logs, and assist with warehouse tasks. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• C License; must pass a 7-yr MVR.
• Minimum 1–2 years of delivery truck driving experience.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Will work in hot or cold temperatures.
• Ability to use GPS, smartphone apps, and/or maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
• Maintain basic logs and records.
• Professional and courteous at all times.

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete an efficient delivery and pick-up route for the day.
• Load delivery vehicle with glass scheduled for delivery.
• Deliver glass to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
• Pick up glass along the scheduled route, including items to be returned and company orders.
• Maintain basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
• Ensure delivery vehicle receives basic service and report issues to supervisor.
• Assist in general warehouse duties when route is completed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Who You Are

A highly motivated and hard-working, reliable, and punctual Delivery Driver. Someone who is ambitious and hardworking and does not mind working in various weather conditions. This is a high touch position which requires the Delivery Driver to assist with loading and unloading.

What You Will Be Doing

• Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick-up route for the day.
• Loads delivery vehicle with glass scheduled for delivery.
• Delivers glass to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
• Picks up glass along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
• Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
• Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Assists in general warehouse duties when the delivery route is completed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills You Bring

• High School diploma or equivalent
• C License- Must be able to pass a 7 yr MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
• Minimum 1-2 years' current or recent delivery truck driving experience
• Load and unload before, during, and after delivery routes.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to work in hot or cold temperatures.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
