Job summary

Quest Global in Waco, TX is seeking a skilled supply chain and production planning professional to support OEM sites and drive on-time delivery across the supply chain.

You will monitor MRP, analyze data, and collaborate with engineers, buyers, and program management to resolve issues and improve processes. The role emphasizes hands-on shop floor experience and a strong customer-facing mindset.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain management, production planning and operations.
  • Shop floor experience preferred.
  • Strong relationship building and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supply chain management and production planning support at OEM site(s).
  • Make detailed observations, gather data, analyze it, and close engineering questions and non-conformances.
  • Monitor MRP tools, production schedules, WIP, and non-conformances against delivery dates; estimate/revise delivery dates.
  • Identify bottlenecks, perform gap analysis, create mitigation plans, and track actions to closure.
  • Create and maintain Line of Balance to monitor production flow and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Develop positive, customer-facing relationships with engineers, buyers, and program management at OEM and supply base levels.
  • Conduct part transition planning, execution, and verification.
  • Document, summarize, write reports, and disseminate information per requirements.
  • Develop/enhance work instructions to implement best practices.

What You Will Do
  • Supply chain management and production planning support at OEM site(s)
  • Make detailed observations, gather part and process data, interpret/analyze that data, and ensure closure of engineering questions and part non-conformances
  • Monitor MRP tools, production schedules, WIP (shop floor), and non-conformances against delivery commit dates; estimate/revise delivery dates
  • Identify bottlenecks, conduct gap analysis, create mitigation plans, and generate and track action items to closure
  • Create and maintain Line of Balance (LOB) to monitor production flow, align supply with demand, identify bottlenecks, and ensure on-time delivery of products to key stakeholders
  • Develop positive, customer-facing working relationships with engineers, buyers, and program management at both the OEM and supply base levels
  • Conduct part transition planning, execution, and verification work
  • Document, summarize, write reports, and disseminate information per requirements
  • Develop/enhance work instructions to implement best practices/lessons learned and ensure repeatability of tasks
What You Will Bring
  • Experience in supply chain management aspects/production planning/quality/operations
  • Shop floor experience preferred
  • Strong relationship building/teamwork skills
  • Experience in using SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Ability to clearly communicate shortage status at both the working and executive levels
Pay Range

$35-$40/hour

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure.

  • We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements

We offer flexible work options, including hybrid arrangements, to support the need of the role and align with company policies. This position will be performed at a supplier site in Waco, TX once a week and remotely once per week.

  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel Requirements

Due to the nature of the work, only travel to the supplier is required.

Citizenship Requirement

Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
