Job Summary

Our Sales Clerks are responsible for helping ensure our guests’ needs are met. They are assigned to a primary area but are also trained to assist in other store areas, including prepared foods and meat departments. To succeed in this position, you should be a team player who understands that success depends on supporting your colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.

Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Experience Desired: Prior experience in a related field; Food Safety Knowledge
• Education Desired: No High School diploma required
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 16 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as the top priority in all aspects of work for team members, guests, and products.
• Provide excellent guest service, aiming to delight and surprise guests, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Cultivate a food-loving culture by sharing enthusiasm and passion for food with team members and guests.
• Use suggestive selling techniques effectively.
• Offer sampling opportunities when appropriate.
• Keep equipment, tables, utensils, and floors clean to meet sanitation standards and ensure safety.
• Stock cases by transferring products from delivery areas to shelves.
• Assist guests by answering questions promptly and with a friendly attitude.
• Order products as needed by scanning shelf tags or entering numbers on the ordering machine.
• Follow procedures to meet out-of-stock percentage goals.
• Arrange new items on shelves by moving existing products and displaying them attractively and safely.
